Before the Session
Here you’ll find general information on how to prepare for your photo shoot.
The Session
The session will be relaxed and fun. The way I work is not necessarily about the perfect image where everyone is smiling at the camera. It’s all about capturing your family having fun together and your emotions for one another.
We usually start off with you walking back and forth together, talking, playing, and I will occasionally make suggestions to move you better into the light, or call you to look in to the camera.
The Weather
Outdoor shoots are dependent on the weather. However, a cloudy sky or a little drizzle shall not deter us!
I generally wait till about an hour before the shoot to make a decision regarding the weather, and if it’s only drizzling slightly, we will go ahead.
Rainboots and umbrellas always make for a cute accessory. And surroundings are often even more beautiful when wet! However, if it rains heavily, we’ll postpone to another day or time.
Pricing
Included in your fee are 5 digital images in high resolution.
About 2 weeks after the photo shoot, you’ll receive a link to a password-protected online gallery, where you can choose your images from 25 in total.
In the gallery, you’ll initially see the not fully edited versions of your photos. As editing takes considerable time, I’ll only be able to edit your image to their final look once you’ve chosen your favourites.
If you fall in love with your photos and aren’t able to choose just 5, you are more than welcome to purchase more. However, there is no obligation. These are the prices:
- One extra image = CHF 60
- 5 extra images = CHF 250
- 10 extra images = CHF 450
- 20 extra images = CHF 750

Frequently Asked Questions
What if it rains on the day?
I don’t believe in the weather forecast 🙂 Because they are just forecasts and aren’t always right. I tend to wait till an hour before the session to make a judgment. Together, we will decide if we should go ahead or postpone.
However, a shoot in the light drizzle can be just as nice since the surrounding nature is much more contrasty when wet. And sometimes, we might even get a rainbow. Read this article HERE.
Do we have to prepare anything in advance?
Not really, you just show up with your family, in a good mood.
Make sure to remove everything from your pockets and to put mobile phones away so that no-one gets distracted.
How can I prepare my kids and make sure they are up for it?
For most parts, I suggest not to pressure them and promise any rewards. Just go with the flow and enjoy a fun day with your family. For more detailed information, I urge you to read this article.
What if my child isn't up for it during the session?
Please don’t worry too much!
Children are curious little creatures and will come around. We just let them be for a while.
In the meantime, I continue photographing you and the rest of the family, and at some point, your crying child will likely get nosy and wants to be involved.

will the session be in english or german?
I am fluent in both languages. So, whichever is more comfortable for you, is good for me. It is your experience, and I want you to have a relaxing and enjoyable time.
When will our images be ready?
The choosing and preparing of your images usually takes 2 to 3 weeks. You will then get to see your images via a secure online gallery, in which you can choose your favourites.
Do you edit all the images?
At the reveal session, you will be presented with all successful images from your session. These images have had a quick edit to correct white balance, exposure etc. Once you’ve chosen your favourites, I’ll edit each photo individually, giving them the final look as part of the photography process.
What if I cannot decide on my favourites? Will you help us pick?
Of course! I have many years of experience working with families and I am here for you all the way. Getting not just a professional opinion but also one from someone outside your family sometimes helps enormously.
Can I receive the raw, unedited photos?
Raw or unedited images are not available for purchase. The finished product is an edited jpeg image, which is part of my artistic interpretation and the entire photography experience.
DO WE RECEIVE OUR PHOTOS IN COLOUR AND BLACK&WHITE?
I don’t deliver photos in different colour variations. The editing method of colour photos and black&white photos is a completely different process.
From my experience, you will never print the same photo in colour and in black&white.
How extensive do you edit our photos?
As mentioned in our contract, I will make basic adjustments like removing skin blemishes, stains or rubbish bins in the background. However, I do not make alterations to body shapes and such.

One Last Important Note
Please be punctual! These Limited Edition Sessions are set to be 20 – 30 minutes and I cannot extend your session.
Please remove all mobile phones and other things from your pockets (pants, trousers, coats). They leave bulgy marks which you will not like in your photos.
Keep mobile phones away in your bag as they distract your kids, or you, from engaging with your kids. We can only create authentic and meaningful photos if you engage with each other and are not distracted.
